I did Kalki’s Parthibhan Kanavu in English when I was 15 years old. The dream to do Ponniyin Selvan (PS) in English always remained with me but I had to wait for 50 more years (1972-2022) - qualifying as a BSc, ACA, ICWA & ACS and then working for TATAs, TVS, Chemplast, Reliance and Gateway Distriparks Ltd for 37 years before retiring as Dy. CEO & CFO in Sep 2019.
Post retirement, I took up the translation of PS into English early 2023 and completed the 5 parts - 293 chapters in 10 months of sheer pleasure and fulfilment.
PS (E) : 2 books - 5 parts - 293 chapters -2,000 pages - was a best seller at the 48th book fair at Chennai – 27 Dec 2024 to 12 Jan 2025 and PS (E) in colour pictures Part 1 at the 49th book fair at Chennai – 8 to 21 Jan 2026, making me go for PS (E) – Entire story with pictures and dialogues – a unique format of dialogues, description and pictures for a better reading – and viewing – experience.
